Between December 2008 and February 2009, Brooks RCMP received a number of complaints of a male in a white Dodge pickup truck attending residence asking for cash or fuel and he offered to barter tools. There were also reports of a male matching the same description approaching people to buy tools he was selling. This male is a suspect in fuel thefts and theft of tools in the area. In May and June 2009, it has been reported to Brooks RCMP, this male has been attending to rural addresses and approaching home owners asking for cash or fuel. He will either ask for cash and fuel or offer items to sell, such as tools or fishing equipment. This occurs in the evening to late in the night.
