Fatal Collision
On May 13 at about 6:45 p.m. the Taber/Vauxhall RCMP were called to the scene of a collision involving a cyclist and a farm implement. The collision occurred on Hwy. 526 about 10 kilometres north of Vauxhall.

Both the bicycle and the truck pulling the farm implement were travelling eastbound when the cyclist became caught in the passing farm implement. A 70-year-old man from Vauxhall died at the scene.

Alcohol was not a factor. The collision is still under investigation. No charges have been laid.

With the warmer weather there is an increased usage of highways and roads including cyclists and farm machine/equipment. RCMP remind everyone to use extreme caution.
